We all know who Scar is, but not everybody's aware that this animated character is loosely based on King Claudius, who's the main antagonist in Shakespeare's play Hamlet. That's where Scar gets his ruthlessness from. And if you feel like you've seen this lion's face before, it's because his image is based on that of Jeremy Irons.
